12 weeks.

our little bundle is just a growin'

baby:

* went to the dr today baby's growing like a weed! everything looks good. i'm 12 weeks and the baby measures 12.3! (I'm thinking this one may be bigger than jaden! he never measured right!) I've gained almost 2 pounds which is good since I've been so sick. they drew more blood for my thyroid. my next appt is April 5! 

* the most dramatic development this week: reflexes. baby's fingers will soon begin to open and close. his or her mouth will make sucking movements. toes will curl, and eye muscles will clench. meanwhile, nerve cells are multiplying rapidly, and in baby's brain, synapses are forming furiously.

* baby's intestines, which have grown so fast that they protrude into the umbilical cord, will start to move into the abdominal cavity, and the kidneys will begin excreting urine into your baby's bladder.
* baby's face looks unquestionably human: his or her eyes have moved from the sides to the front of the head, and the ears are right where they should be. from crown to rump, baby-to-be is just over 2 inches long (about the size of a lime) and weighs half an ounce. 

symptoms:
 *nausea- still got it! :-/ 

 *sleepy. all. the. time. haven't been sleeping good. about to have to get all the pillows out! 

cravings:

* nothing ever sounds good to eat. :-/ 

* water...yep still makes me sick when I drink it! :P

maternity clothes: 

* still none...but i bought a new shirt it was pretty exciting to buy! it's not maternity, but I can so wear it still when I've got a big belly! 

highlights of the week:
*getting to see our little bundle today! 

*watching my little jaden. he always seems to amaze me! (;
