eleven weeks.

baby:

* baby is now almost fully formed! at just over 1 1/2 inches long, he or she is about the size of a fig.

* baby's hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under the gums, and some of the bones are beginning to harden.
* he or she is already busy kicking and stretching, and these tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. Movements will become more frequent as baby grows, but you won't feel the acrobatics for another few months. You also won't notice your baby's hiccupping, which may be happening now that his or her diaphragm is forming.

symptoms:
 * nausea has gotten even better since I've been on my medication. I still have my moments, but it's all good. 

 * still very sleepy...it's gotten better. 

* I haven't been as hungry as I was last week. don't worry I still feed this baby(:

cravings:

* CANDY! ((: 

* water still makes me sick when I drink it! :P

maternity clothes: 

* still none...but I feel huge :-/

highlights of the week:
* my cousins came down for the weekend. (: totally took my mind off my sickness! 

* watching jaden grow and learn so many new things! 

-I'll start taking pictures of the baby bump soon! (; (I just feel to fat right now) 

ten weeks!

my yucky week:

* i went to the ER Friday morning. I wasn't able to keep anything down for 3 days, so it was time to go. we waited in the ER literally ALL day. finally I was seen and my dr told me I was going to have to stay the night. bummer. the next day, they ran some test and found out I have hyperthyroid (and told me I had to stay another night. double bummer.) it doesn't mix well when I'm pregnant, that's why i'm always so sick. I'm on medication and it seems to be helping a whole lot! praying it keeps working its magic while keeping baby healthy. 

baby:

 * according to baby center, baby Boen #2 is barely the size of a kumquat – a little over an inch or so long, crown to bottom – and weighing in at less than a quarter of an ounce, baby now has completed the most critical portion of development.

* this is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in baby's body rapidly grow and mature. If you could take a peek inside, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin.

* baby is swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm. Vital organs – including the kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells in place of the disappearing yolk sac) – are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout my pregnancy.

* in other developments: baby's limbs can bend now. his or her hands are flexed at the wrist and meet over the heart, and your baby's feet may be long enough to meet in front of the body.      
* the outline of your baby's spine is clearly visible through translucent skin, and spinal nerves are beginning to stretch out from the spinal cord. Your baby's forehead temporarily bulges with his or her developing brain and sits very high on the head, which measures half the length of his or her body. From crown to rump, your baby is about 1 1/4 inches long. In the coming weeks, your baby will again double in size– to nearly 3 inches.

symptoms: 
 * nausea has gotten better since I've been on my medication. I've thrown up a couple mornings, but not anywhere close to how it used to be! I'm SOOO thankful for that!!
 * still sleepy, mostly in the afternoon. I feel like I get more sleep if I'm in bed when jaden gets in bed, around 8:30 or so. I feel so rested when I wake up in the mornings.
* I'm hungry all the time! (so different compared to last week!) 

cravings:

* I mostly crave whatever I see on tv..which I won't get. (I'm suppose to eat plain stuff for a week..nothing spicy or fried, anything that could mess up my stomach. my diet has been mostly potatoes and kool aid) I've had a sweet tooth, just like I did when I was pregnant with little jaden! 

maternity clothes: 

* none so far. I feel like I need to wear a sign that says "pregnant not fat!" because, right now I just feel fat in everything I put on!

highlights of the week:
* getting to see healthy baby Boen #2 on another sonogram (:

* getting to fix my 24 hour sickness! praise the LORD!!!!! ((((:

* getting to actually get up and play with my favorite 2 year old, instead of having my head in the toilet! ;)

my next appt. is march 7!

* ill be 12 weeks! 

sick little duckling

when I was pregnant with jaden I was very sick the w h o l e 9 m o n t h s! i was hoping and praying i wouldn't be sick with this pregnancy. well...I've been SOOO sick everyday all day for a little over 3 weeks now. some days are better than others but there hasn't been I day I have felt fine. now I'm hoping and praying that it will only last the first trimester! so we'll see!

this pregnancy also seems so much harder, I guess since I have Jaden to take care of, I can't just do nothing and just be sick all day. our house is always a wreck now..so if you come over be prepared(; I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have such a helpful husband.

wanna hear something that's disgusting and funny (I don't think it's very funny) jaden knows when I hurry and go to the bathroom I'm going to throw up. he thinks it's so funny to run in there real fast to watch his mama throw up AND he laughs. I don't know how that's so enjoyable for him. it kinda aggravates me. I don't think it's very funny to feel nauseated and to be puking my guts out. whatever kid.

Yep, thats right folks. He's going to be a BIG BROTHER!

We found out January 13, 2012.

I was so excited!

i found out when Jonathan was at a clincial. he wouldnt be home until 7:30pm, i found out at about 10am! i thought to myself i cant wait until then! but i didnt want to send him a text saying oh yeah jaden's going to be a big brother! i wanted it to be special! so, yes i WAITED until 7:30
this is how i told him...

i wrote him a note with the pregnancy text and the picture of jaden in his big brother shirt and put it in an envelope. jaden delivered it to daddy when he got home and said "baby!"

we told our parents and siblings the next day...i just couldnt keep it in!

this is their reaction when we sanaped the camera and said "JADEN'S GOING TO BE A BIG BROTHER! who's the most excited?! of course MEMAW IS!

my parents were pretty exciting to tell!...

my dads been out of town working and wasnt going to be home so i wasnt sure how i was going to tell him. i knew how i was going to tell my mom...

we came over to my parents saturday afternoon and jaden's wearing his big brother shirt...30 minutes have passed and mom still hasnt noticed what jaden's shirt says so we start calling her names and she finally figures out what it says...she was pretty entertaining to watch! then the door bell rings...while moms freaking out about the news we answer the door. guess who it is?! DAD! none of us can believe it! moms keeping quite so dad can figure out what his shirt says...let me tell ya...he would of never figured out what the shirt said if mom didnt say READ HIS SHIRT! i have theres on video tape! i could send it americas funniest home videos and totaly win!
