Jaden turned officially TWO on thanksgiving! even tho he had to share his birthday on a hoilday, aunt hannah made it pretty special with this pinata she made! such a crafty aunt hannah! (:

Jaden's been talking a lot more since he's been two. he'll say two word sentences sometimes even three! such a big boy!!

Jaden & Michaela went to go see Santa. Jaden made sure that Santa knew that he wanted TOYS! he's the cutest little thing!

we went to visit papa while he's been working the last few weeks. it's 7 hours to get there so jaden & i went and stayed at aunt tracie and keya's last friday-sunday so we didnt have to drive the whole way in one day. then went to go visit papa until thursday and came back to keya's, since it was half way it worked out perfect! then friday it was home sweet home! we missed daddy way to much! (;

we went to the beach on the coldest DAY!

saw a jellyfish which was cool bc i've never seen one!

we had lots of fun on our week away, but it's alwasy good to be home!

WE CAN'T WAIT FOR CHRISTMAS!!!(:

Jaden's 2nd birthday party!

let me just say this...he sure loved his second birthday party WAY more than his 1st birthday party! it was so exciting to see him so excited about everything!

I just can't believe that we already celebrated this little boys 2nd birthday!! he's almost TWO! can you believe it?! I sure can't!

his favorite part was opening his presents! this morning he come up to me says "party" "open". I have to remind him that we already celebrated his birthday, but he has a little something to open on his real birthday! then he has Christmas soon to open more presents. he's pretty excited!

he loves his grandparents! I'm glad they could all make his party even more special!

I'm super excited about Jaden's birthday party this weekend! it may be weird that I may be a tad bit way more excited than the birthday boy, but isn't that the way a momma's suppose to be?! it also may be a little weird that I can't wait to see what all his get for his birthday...only so I can see what to get him for Christmas! ya know?!
he's been naming the people he really wants to be there...he wants "keya" (michaela) there for sure. that's all he talks about! I think keya is his favorite. (don't get jealous) but it's true.

fall festivals

last weekend was a lot of fun! I loved seeing jaden in his little Indian outfit!

i love this picture, it looks like they are doing an indian dance! he loves his "keya" (michaela)

arnt they so cute?! you should be very surprised michaela is a lady bug! I know I am! the last few years she has been Cinderella.
they both got third place in the consume contest. (I think they both should of gotten 1st!)

memaw wanted to be an Indian to. but all she did was a little face paint. we are really glad aunt tracie & keya came and and hung out with us this weekend!
& of course we had to stop by the fire station and trick or treat!

next year jaden & michaela are gonna have a theme. so help us figure out a REALLLLY cute one!! (:

what's been going on.

I haven't blogged in a month! sorry. this is what's been going on around here...

we went on vacation to the poco loco ranch. & went to sea world. Jaden thought sea world was the coolest thing in the world! I can't wait to take him back!!

we carved a pumpkin for the first time as a family(: Jaden didn't think it was as cool as mommy thought he would! but we still had fun!

and we've been getting the almost 2 year olds birthday party planned! I can not believe he is almost 2 already!!!!! I have a picture of his daddy showing him how to hold the calk bored, but I thought I wouldn't post that. ha

Bethany & Justin got married! it was a beautiful wedding! we are SO happy for them! ((:


Jonathan's been really busy here lately and has really been bumming me out, but Sunday he didn't have to go to work or school, is it was pretty awesome that he got to spend some time with us!
Saturday is the fall festival at Eula. he's gonna be an Indian this year. Aunt Hannah & Memaw made his costume! I bet he'll be the cutest one there! (he always is) well that's all I can think of right now! check ya later.

i'v been really struggling on how to discipline Jaden. like how much does he know?? does he know when he does something bad? what are you suppose to do??
I don't want to spank Jaden. I have a few times, but it's only bc I have no clue what else to do. I'v said to my parents there's two things I'll never do or say to my kids. 1. spank them. 2. say "because I said so." didn't you freaking hate when your parents said that?! they tell you no and when you ask why they say "bc I said so" uh no. come on. when I tell my kids no I'll always have a reason and it won't be because I said so!
anyways...how are other ways to discipline your kids? I know I may have to spank but its not going to be an every day thing.
he had his first time out the other night by his father. I didn't think he knew what was going on. he's only a baby :((((

nest cupcakes...

i'm a pinterest freak and I saw cupcakes that were like these and I thought they were the cutest ever and I was going to make them one day..

well a few days ago my mother in law told me I had to make a desert for a shower we were throwing..I was like great..i'm not very good a making "goodies" I have my famous "oreo balls" but I really didnt feel like making those. they are SOOOO much work even tho they dont look like it. I was feeling lazy and was just gonna go to the store, but then I thought I can so make those nest cupcakes...heres how it went..

they had a recipe to make homemade cupcakes, but since i'm not very good at that kind of stuff I thought I would just make them the easier way(:

so far so good!

then to make the "nest" all i needed was my lovely husband &

1/4 cup corn syup

1 1/2 cup of sugar

1/2 cup of water

1/4 tsp vanilla extract

and just pretty much cook it.

(if you want to make it either look it up on my pinterest of tell me and i'll send you the link thing) I really don't feel like typing all of it since I have a 21 month old(:

then I made my mom make the eggs bc I couldnt! &&

mudslinger fun run.

the boen fam have been getting into 5k's and stuff. then Daniel (cousin) got them to do the mud run. after i'v been to a few 5k this one was the most entertaining! watching people go threw the mud pit was hilarious! a lot of people pretty much dove in like Josh...and some people tried not to get muddy at all. if I enjoyed running I would of totally done this run! (;

I haven't been blogging like at all here lately. hmm where do I start...
a little over a week ago we had Boen family pictures done. they came out pretty good...well at least one did! haha
I had a dentist appointment to get my teeth cleaned by my lovely sister-in-law. I hate going to the dentist and now Monday I have another appointment bc I have 2 cavities! :-/ yuck. I don't wanna shot in my mouth! - how did I give birth?! idk.
eah & timmy (leah & stormi) came down last weekend. I love when they come down & so does jaybird! neither one of us like when they leave:( anyways we went to the chili bowl. none of us have ever went to one before...let's just say I don't plan on going back unless I have to...haha
jaden's his own little man. he likes to do everything on his own even more than he used to & talking up a storm! yesterday I went and bought him his first pair of pants for this year and it made me SO sad! last year he wore 6-9 month pants (yeah even tho he was 12 months) well I bought him 18 month pants! thats way bigger! I can't believe in 79 days he will be 2!
well I think that's it for now. I'll try to post more often! (:

this is Jonathan's boo boo. he hurts pretty bad every once in a while...

Saturday afternoon Justin, Dub and Jonathan wanted to try and run a car off gas fumes..well something happened and the gas can blew up...caught Dub's legs and feet on fire, he started running so the hero (Jonathan) went and pretty much tackled him to the ground and that's how he got his arm burned. Jonathan is fine, he's been to work and can pretty much do everything he could before. Dub is in Lubbock at the intensive burn unit. he's doing good..he just has a long road ahead of him..he had his first grafting today. so be praying for him & his family. we will be road trippin' to see him on thursday!

jaden, jaden and a little more jaden

let's see...we went to the eastland water park last Tuesday. we stop to eat lunch a taco bell once we got there..jaden was eating and lady was talking to him, he sticks out his tongue and showed the lady his food!!! where did he learn that?! I couldn't help but laugh, I hope he won't do that again..whoever taught him that is in big trouble!! when we got to the water park I was trying to take his picture but all he cared about was sticking his finger in his nose! silly.
he's been talking a lot and can say a few sentences. he thinks he's has two memaw's. becky's name is memaw, my moms name was suppose to be grandma, but he wants to call her memaw too. they don't wanna be called memaw Becky or memaw Kim so I'm trying to work with him to say grandma but he just says memaw so idk what i'm gonna do!
he likes to do everything on his own..you can only help him if HE wants your help. it makes me sad so the other day he was playing with his bottles, so I made him one (yeah yeah I know what your thinking, but ya know I don't care! :P) and he let me hold him like a baby, like I used to! I won't do that again bc I don't want him to want one all the time!
he's just getting so big...that's why were gonna try and have another one soon! (:

my 21st birthday!

we just celebrated my 21st birthday last weekend. now it's back to the real world taken care of my baby boy!!!!! (((:

jaden's went potty on the potty a few times, but I'm ready for him to use the potty ALL the time. so i'v been putting on the potty more often, but nothing happens! so I bought some underwear well right when I put them on him he made his self pee! ugh! I guess he's not ready to be out of diapers even tho his mommy is ready for him to be! :-/

he needs more daddy time.
